Corr
Wins in Florida, K.Fisher Earns First Title
Karen
Corr got her first Classic Tour victory of the
2005 season by defeating Ga Young Kim in the
finals of the Southeast Classic held June 22-26
at the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Fla. Corr
had been struggling a bit on the tour this year,
finishing in the Top 3 only once prior to her
victory in Florida.
Fellow
snooker import Kelly Fisher earned her first
WPBA Tour title when she defeated Gerda Hofstatter
at the West Coast Classic in Alpine, Calif.
Fisher, who is in her second year on the Tour,
had made a handful of appearances in the television
rounds, but her victory at the Viejas Casino
was her first WPBA title.

Fisher
Still Perfect in 2005
The
Duchess of Doom Allison Fisher added another
Classic Tour trophy to her collection with a
victory at the Great Lakes Classic March 2-6
in Michigan City, Ind. Fisher defeated Tiffany
Nelson in the finals to go undefeated in the
tournament.
While
Fisher took home the trophy, the talk of the
tournament was the outstanding performance of
Nelson who recorded victories over Karen Corr,
Helena Thornfeldt and Vivian Villarreal. It
was Nelson’s top finish since earning her full
time touring status. Fisher extended her No.
1-ranking over Karen Corr who failed to make
the t.v. round.

Black
Widow Wins Big In Sunshine State
The
“Black Widow” Jeanette Lee earned her first
WPBA Classic Tour victory of the year with a
7-5 win over Julie Kelly at the Florida Classic
in Hollywood, Fla. Lee cruised through the 64-player
field and recorded wins over Fran Crimi, Angel
Paglia, Hsin Huang, Miyuki Sakai, Dawn Hopkins
and No.-1 ranked Allison Fisher before matching
up against Kelly in the finals. More...
