When
Knight Falls:
Today The8knights learned more in one morning than they
did in an entire season. We learned about the power of individualism
vs the strength of team unity, and on this day when we fell,
it wasn't because we were weak but rather because we were
young. We played valiant to the very end but as faith would
have it, our turn had not yet come. The8knights fell at
33rd place, and out of 357 teams, that in itself was an
incredible accomplishment.

Our
Opponents:
We
played our last match against the Heavyhitters, a wonderful
and strong team that came prepared in more ways than one.
They had been watching us for some time now and had a basic
idea of our line up. However, it was not their strength
or techniques that got to us, it was our own fatigue. In
the end, the Heavyhitters went on as the victors and would
eventually place 5th in the National Team Championships.

The
Last Breakfast:
Right after losing to the Heavyhitters we all went to breakfast
at the all you can eat buffet in the hotel. This would be
our last breakfast together before coming back to New York.

The
Pool Emporium:
After lunch, the team went upstairs, got some rest then
when back out again. One of our fist stops was the Pool
Emporium located right beside the APA registration area.

The
Pool Emporium
Cont.:
Here there were a lot of cool things to look at, all billiard
related, from cues to balls. In addition, most of the ProAm
challenges are done in the Pool Emporium and they always
feature pros like Allison and Kelly Fisher.

Dr.
Cue: Further
down the hall Dr. Cue was running one of his instructional
classes. The things this guy can do with a cue seems almost
on real.

The
Final Look:
This would be the last time the team would visit the LTC
room. Right about now the 8-ball teams were getting ready
to start while the playoffs for the 9-ball teams were being
situated upstairs.
